YU SUN Digital is the controller responsible for processing personal data in accordance with the GDPR.

2. Personal Data We Process

We process the following categories of personal data:

  • Technical data: IP address, timestamps, requests, access logs, error reports, device information, browser type, operating system, language, timezone, referrer.
  • Account data: e-mail address, Google account ID, account status, authentication data, password reset logs.
  • Test data: test answers, test outcomes, analysis reports, test history, report generation records.
  • Order and payment data: order number, activation code, purchase status, payment outcomes, refunds/disputes.
  • Communication data: contact forms, e-mail correspondence, support requests, feedback.
  • Consent data: cookie consent status, analytics/marketing preferences, withdrawal logs.
  • Export/share data: downloaded or shared test outputs initiated by an active user request.

3. Purposes of Processing

We process data for the following purposes:

  • Account creation and account management
  • Providing online tests, result analysis, result history, and download/sharing functions
  • Purchase verification, activation code issuance and management
  • Payment processing, refunds, invoicing and dispute handling
  • Customer support and handling user requests
  • Platform security, abuse prevention and fraud detection
  • Website usage analytics and product optimization
  • Compliance with legal obligations, accounting and tax requirements

4. Legal Bases

Personal data is processed only when a valid legal basis applies:

  • Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR: contract performance and pre-contractual measures (for example, account creation, test service delivery, result display, paid activation, result download and history access)
  • Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR: consent (for example, analytics cookies, marketing cookies, retargeting)
  • Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR: legal obligations (for example, tax/accounting obligations)
  • Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR: legitimate interests (for example, system security, abuse prevention, error diagnosis, limited service improvement)

Where applicable under TDDDG, non-essential cookies and tracking require prior consent.

5. Account Registration and Login

You can sign in via e-mail or a Google account.

E-mail login: we process your e-mail address for identity verification, account management, password reset and result storage. Google login: Google provides required account data so we can create/link your account and enable access to test history.

6. Test Results and History

We process your test answers and generated analyses to provide the Romantic Possessiveness Type Index (RPTI) service, display outcomes, store history and enable repeated access. If you actively choose to download or forward results, we generate export content; after forwarding to third parties, further processing is outside our control.

7. Payments and Activation Codes

Stripe processes order payments, status verification, activation code issuance, refunds and fraud prevention. This may involve name, e-mail, order data, payment IDs, transaction status and metadata. Stripe may process data outside the EU under applicable safeguards.

8. Analytics and Advertising

We use Google Analytics for website analytics and, where applicable, Google Ads for advertising, conversion measurement and retargeting. These tools are only enabled after your consent and can be withdrawn at any time. If enabled, device data, usage data, IP addresses, cookie IDs, page visits and events may be transferred to Google and processed outside the EU/EEA.

9. Cookies and Similar Technologies

Necessary cookies support core functions (login, session, activation, security). Functional, analytics and marketing cookies are only enabled after explicit consent. Details are available on our Cookies & Tracking page.

10. Recipients of Data

Data may be shared with the following categories:

  • Hosting and infrastructure providers
  • Security and CDN providers
  • Payment service providers
  • Analytics and advertising providers
  • E-mail and authentication services

11. Storage Duration

We keep data only as long as necessary for processing purposes:

  • Accounts/test history: during account lifetime; after deletion/inactivity, data is anonymized or deleted after a reasonable period unless statutory retention applies
  • Order/invoice data: 6-10 years under commercial and tax law
  • Technical logs/security data: 30-180 days depending on security needs
  • Consent logs: for a reasonable period after withdrawal to document compliance

12. International Data Transfers

If personal data is transferred outside the EU/EEA, we implement safeguards in line with Art. 44 et seq. GDPR, especially EU Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) and additional technical/organizational measures.

14. Data Security

We use technical and organizational safeguards, including access controls, least-privilege principles, encryption, logging, backup/recovery and anomaly detection.

Please note that absolute security on the internet cannot be guaranteed.

15. Minors

This service is not directed to children or minors and is available only to users who are 18 years or older. Minors may not create accounts, purchase activation codes, complete tests, save results, or use sharing/export features.

We do not knowingly collect child personal data and do not knowingly use children or known minors for marketing, remarketing, or advertising audiences. If a legal guardian believes that a minor has provided personal data to this service, contact info@romantic-test.de. We will review the request and, where applicable, restrict, delete, or anonymize the relevant data.

16. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy due to legal, technical or business changes. Material changes will be announced on the website or via other appropriate channels.

This policy applies to the RPTI service and may be updated when legal, technical, or business requirements change.
